FileHarbor support
Email Info@JamesonBDesigns.com. Include your Windows version, FileHarbor version and the steps that caused the problem. Please avoid sending private files unnecessarily.
Find your stored library
Open Folders in FileHarbor and choose Open library in File Explorer. The library is under Documents / File Organizer / Media Library. The folder name is kept for compatibility with earlier versions.
Download a file
Open All Files, search for the file, and click Download. A full copy is saved to Windows Downloads. Duplicate names receive a number. Copying large videos can take time.
A preview is unavailable
Some formats and codecs cannot be previewed in the app. Use Open file to try your associated application, or Show in Explorer. Files can still be organized even when previews are unavailable.
Find an archived file
On All Files, change Active files to Archived files, then choose Restore. Archiving does not delete files.
Why did a shortcut stop working?
Shortcuts require their stored target to remain in place. Keep the library folder and managed copies at their original paths. Use Downloads copies when sharing files with other computers.
Search does not find document contents
Content extraction supports selected formats up to 50 MB and English OCR. Encrypted, unsupported or unreadable files may only be searchable by name, tags and notes. External edits do not automatically refresh the index.
Privacy and deletion
Read the privacy policy for local storage, sync-provider behavior and deletion instructions. Back up files you want to keep before deleting library data.
